Why Train With NSFT
At NSFT we focus on adult, new and newer shooters who are looking to gain confidence, exposure and knowledge to safely handle and shoot a firearm. Our training is stress-free and controlled to help foster a confident learning environment.
Like many Americans, and rightly so, you might be thinking about personal defense a lot more these days.
Maybe you are brand new to shooting. Maybe you've already taken a concealed carry class to get your CCW permit but need a refresher course. Or, maybe you'd feel more comfortable learning about firearms before buying one. Whatever your reason, the NSFT training classes give you the tools you need.
Our classes are taught by our USCCA Certified / NRA Certified pistol and Range Safety Officer, instructors.
Successful completion of our class and live-fire, students will receive a Conceal Carry Course completion certificate, which satisfies the requirement for the "Acceptable Firearms Training" that the state of Florida requires, to apply for your Concealed Weapons License (CWL)
The Conceal Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals class provides a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation of a firearm. This 4 hour course includes classroom education and live-fire range time.

- The legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath)

- Loading and unloading a firearm
- Shoot a firearm and target acquisition
Course Costs - 75.00
This includes, classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations and live-fire instruction at the range. Class course books can be purchased at a discounted rate in class.
Range Fees - 10.00
This includes the range use and eye and ear protection if needed.
Ammunition can be purchased at the gun range on the day of class if you need it. 25 rounds will be needed for shooting practical. Any range fee will be directly paid to the range on the day of shooting.
Additional Information
What you will need for this class;
- The right attitude and open mind to learn
- Laptop, tablet, or pen and paper for notes
- Light snacks and drinks for break time
- No open toes shoes or sandals are allowed at the gun range for live-fire training
- Eye and ear protection (this can be rented at the range or provided if needed)
- Hand gun (.22, .38 or 9mm are acceptable). Please check in advance if you are bringing any other caliber. If you do not have your own hand gun you may borrow one of ours for free
- If you bring your own firearm, you will need at least 25 rounds of ammunition, specific for your gun. If you are using one of our gun, you will need to have 20 rounds of ammo
*All firearm are to be unloaded and in a hard or soft sided gun case
