Why Train With NSFT
At NSFT we focus on adult, beginner shooters and new shooters who are looking to gain confidence, exposure and knowledge to safely handle and shoot a hand gun. Our training is stress-free and controlled to help foster a confident learning environment.
Our classes are taught by our NRA certified pistol instructors.
Successful completion of our class satisfies the requirement for the "Acceptable Firearms Training" that the state of Florida requires, to apply for your Concealed Weapons License (CWL)
Class Description
The NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation class is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This 4 hour course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type.

After successful completion of this class, students will receive a NRA FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.
Course Costs - 60.00
This includes the student manuals, classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations and live-fire instruction at the range.
Range Fees - 10.00
This includes the range time and eye and ear protection if needed. Students will pay this amount directly to the range prior to our live-fire training.
Ammunition can be purchased at the Gun Range on the day of class.
Additional Information
What you will need for this class;
- The right attitude and open mind to learn
- Laptop, tablet, or pen and paper for notes
- Light snacks and drinks for break time
- No open toes shoes or sandals are allowed at the gun range for live fire training
- Eye and ear protection
- Hand gun (.22, .38 or 9mm are acceptable). Please check in advance if you are bringing any other caliber. If you do not have your own hand gun you may borrow one of ours for free.
- If you bring your own pistol, you will need at least 100 rounds of ammunition, specific for your gun. If you are using one of our gun, you will need to buy 100 rounds of ammo at the gun range
*All guns are to be unloaded and in a hard or soft sided gun case
*No handguns or live ammunition is allowed in the classroom.
